I am so glad my parents were supportive of my mouse-potato lifestyle. And that they were at least somewhat respectful of the need to shut down my gaming gracefully when they actually needed me off.
I somehow get the impression that Patchu's at least partially such a Hikki just because of Flan and the rest...
If any sort of outdoor activity results in beatings, why wouldn't she be scared? You're the one causing her to be such a Hikki by throwing her to the Flans, Sakuya!
Also, as a side note, the irony that she was taken away from a "staff art" game in order to get beaten up by sticks deserves to be highlighted.

Patchy's the 2nd biggest buttmonkey behind Meiling in this.
But Sakuya reminds me of a typical parent, ignorant of the differences in kids (not all of them really like playing outside)
Sakuya has supported Patchy's hobbies before. Her intention isn't to be mean, disrespectful or ignorant.
But taking the previous strip into account, she looked like total shit and needed to give it a rest. As adults we can do what we want, but for a kid, her tendencies are unhealthy and forms bad habits.
It's not about kicking her off and forcing her outside because Sakuya doesn't understand, but because some balance is needed. Lots of kids hate doing what's often best for them, so it's the parent's job to try and get them to do that stuff for the ultimate good. Sakuya is just teaching her to eat her vegetables.
Plucking her off might seem heavy handed, but it could've been worse. She could've shut off the power or stolen her away in the middle of battle, like some parents do, but she didn't. She at least did it at a juncture where she could take a break and resume later. Hardly the worst thing in the world.

Yeah but if my kid had pulled an all nighter I'd tell them to log off and go to bed. Let her tell her friends a proper goodbye and get what's really nececcary rather than force her to do what people think is best for you.

Throwing her to the Flans certainly seems to have been a move demonstrating an ignorance of how well they play with Patchy. Well-intentioned, maybe, but it doesn't mean it helped her any, since now she's sleep-deprived and injured to boot.

And if you ignored them and kept going, THEN what would they do? Because honestly, I can't see Patchy doing that.

This, the fact her playmates are an Oni and a Fairy that's used to respawning should tell you something about how she plays.
About two weeks ago when I was playing World of Tanks, I got disconnected when entered the battle, so I had to restart the game. When I came back, I found my tank drown in the water, later my teammates told me that a noob pushed my tank into the water as he thought I was AFK intentionally.
