Well, Kogasa-san. Here's your first pop quiz. (Ha.)

    Skyknight

Looks like you're about to get some practice...

    Suzuran Majere

Well, if you want to practice English, just post here!
Practice with native speakers is the best way to learn.
I really doubt anyone would be unwilling to help.

    There's also the english-language board on 2ch.
I read and post in the english chat thread there, but I stay out of the other threads since I can't read Japanese.

    Moonspeaker

I just couldn't relax at all on this trip until I got home. Kogasa-san got some unforeseen compulsory study. And I had English translation work from Hell still ahead! I have no idea whether I've got it right! Help me, Google-sama!

Reader-added tags include "EX(cuse) Boss", "Snap to it, Kogasa-san" and "English says, 'Not yet, it's not over yet.'"

    The survey considers future plans:

    If I could speak English...
    • I'd go overseas
    • I'd play against a foreigner in an FPS
    • I'd like to interpret
    • I'd try pretending to be a foreigner in Japan
    • I'd sing tons of English songs at karaoke

    Murein

    • I'd play against a foreigner in an FPS

And then after that you'd never want to speak English /ever again/.

    NWSiaCB

"Final Boss"? Shouldn't that be Stage 1?

I mean, it's the first round, and asking for directions to a place whose name is Japanese, and where he knows the name of the station should be pretty easy.

    KirisameMarisa

    • I'd sing tons of English songs at karaoke

Exactly what I would do if I learned other foreign languages.

I dunno, man. He didn't actually know he was going to be playing. It'd be like browsing the internet, or playing Angry Birds, and then SUDDENLY, NAZRIN APPEARS AND SPELLCARDS YOU!

Depends on the FPS... If it was like, a Quake Live duel, it'd probably be completely silent due to the intense focus required.

What you're describing is little more than a Wriggle Kick.

    Zero Hour

One day I plan to find one of these 4komas as they are being translated.

This message did not reach him. You know the right way.

You get what you ask for I guess.

    Genichiro

Be wary of the old saying, Kogasa-san: "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it." A little unannounced practice never hurts, right?

If you're reading this, Mizuki-san, a more a natural way an American may have posed the question in panel #4 would be: "Excuse me, could you show me how to get to Honjo-azumabashi station?"

For the poll, I'll answer as though the question was for Japanese rather than English. If I could speak Japanese, I'd love to go overseas (to Japan). One of these days, I'll be able to sit down and actually study and learn the language.

Looks like Kogasa spoke to soon in the last panel. Karma sucks some times, so keep your head up Kogasa.

    KasaneTeddo

lol just like when I was in China. Just dodge the man Kogasa just dodge it and run away!
