Even though i dont want it to be but.. looking at this makes me think its 100%
Sanae / Suwako VS Reimu / Remilia... in the finals.
Pretty much Miko vs Miko.

am i missing something? did i forget a team? (its been a while that i read this...)

No, there are 5 teams. What's going to happen is Sanae/Suwako are going to fight whoever wins between the Sakuya/Suika and Tenshi/Okuu match. That's why both Suika and Okuu are pulling on the rope there.

So...Tenshi/Okuu fights Sakuya/Suika, then the winner fights Sanae/Suwako. In the meantime, Mokou/Kaguya fights Reimu/Reimila.

My two least favorite teams are fighting. That'll be interesting. Not sure what to make of the first match, though.

They were in the last one... you can see them in the overhead shot still fighting behind Aya.

I don't think Reimu and Remilia will have an easy fight this time... not with the Lunarian Brand plot armor the immortals are packing. Tenshi and Okuu won't have it easy either.

My predictions for the final are still valid. I'm pulling for Sky Combo all the way.

So my predictions over this round were wrong. Ah, well. Reimu/Remilia vs Mokou/Kaguya would be a more exciting round than what I had predicted anyway.

Now we just wait and see if Sakuya/Suika can get their act together and advance through both of their fights. At least their fight against Utsuho/Tenshi should be fun to watch.

I still believe that the finals will be Reimu/Remilia vs Sakuya/Suika. Now let's see what crazy events come about to prove me wrong again.. :V

None I hope. I hate the Lunarian BS team only slightly more than the Moriya BS team. Utsuho/Tenchi are just sort of... there.

A Remiu/Remi vs Sakuya/Suika show down isn't what I'd have asked for at the start but it's something I can get behind.

I don't understand the thing with the ropes. Why they keep changing forms.

My guess is it's another part of Kaguya's manipulative gestures of goodwill come to fruition. Or maybe the Kappa invented non-deterministic rope.

I must say that having Red 75% fight Immortal Combination (Glad we have a real name now instead of the placeholder one I made) has made me much more interested in their match. I get to see the team that I hate get beaten by the boring overpowered team and no matter who wins, I'll be satisfied. Though it would be much more interesting to see it be Immortal Combination since Tenshi has a beef with them. It would be the best possible finale, the ultimate "face" team that came up from nothing and fought just to get into the matches and with the sacrifice of their friends up against the ultimate "heel" team that were crowd panderers that lack the real spirit of the manga they(she) wanted to exhibit and that pulled an out of nowhere win that has made the readers angry.

Add to that that Immortal Combination will have beaten down what is considered the most powerful team (If they win) and Heaven & Sky Combo will have made it through two non-stop matches and survived and they would both be presented as extremely tough.

It would be a battle of ideals that would tie much more directly to Kinnikuman than a simple master V.S. servant fight.

Eh, if that really does end up being the finale, I'll be strongly inclined to drop this comic. The only upside to it would be that Team Moriya's hax and cheating combination would be gone.

Actually, I think it is extremely likely. As the only actual antagonists remaining, Kaguya and Mokou have nearly a 100% chance of winning their upcoming match and then losing in the final. This will by definition eliminate Reimu and Remilia, probably in a ridiculously humiliating manner because, as any Touhou comic continues, the probability of Remilia getting the buttmonkey treatment approaches 100%. With Remilia gone, there's no longer a story-motivated reason for Sakuya to be around, so her team will probably be eliminated quickly.

So basically, we're down to the championship and it's Team Moriya versus Heaven & Sky, but we're going to have to sit through a bunch of filler first and the series is going to have a really long and violent epilogue.

Reimu/Remilia vs the immortals is hard to call. I don't see how the immortals can beat red 75%, but I stand by my prediction that Reimu can't win this tournament. She's got very thick plot armor for sure, but it's that same plot that's going to drag her down. The prize is a million yen, and it's part of Reimu's "plot" to always be dirt poor.

That being said, I'm still going to root for Tenshi and Okuu all the way. Or maybe Yuuka buying her way back in and stomping down everyone.

Danbooru marks are the worst marks.

From the last panel of the previous comic you could tell pretty easily which end was connect to what other end. Though yeah that doesn't explain why Reimu/Remi and Suika/Okuu suddenly switched spots... Or why the ropes got bigger...

Huh, some of these pictures from the Tag Dream pool are getting "Kappa Mob" Tag. Doesn't Kappa mob only really apply to those ones from Wild and Horned Hermit?

Dunno, but I see no reason to not call all Touhou extra kappa by that name since we have nothing else.

better than what i thought was going to happen. i thought they would all pull their ropes and they would all snap in the middle at the same time leading the fighting teams confused who was fighting whom

Can someone explain how and why the ropes got bigger, the teams suddenly switched places and the kappas look relieved?
