Aw, shame to see this one go. Really quite beautiful.

    Arrei

Honestly, I'd be more concerned about the watermarks plastered all over it. The style seems close enough to anime to pass on that.

    grand zero

The style is more anime than several anime released recently, so I'd (personally) throw that 'reason' out the window.
...but I have to agree with Arrei, my concern is the watermarks all over the place.

    Klaudandus

If it gets deleted over the watermarks, then fine. But deleting it over it being a piece by a western artist or it being a piece of a western copyright doesn't hold water at all, considering there are many pics here that fit that either criteria. Heck, there's moomins and they're swedish!

Nevermind that we do, in fact, have a realistic tag.

Had forgotten about that. I smell a troll to be honest.

    Arrei

Just to clarify, the western reason for deletion only holds water if the piece meets NONE of the criteria for acceptance. That is, not anime style, not an eastern property, AND not by an eastern artist.

Western properties can be accepted if it's drawn by a Japanese artist or in anime style, western artists can be accepted if they drew in anime style or drew a eastern property, and non-anime art is sometimes (on a case-by-case basis) accepted because it was drawn by an eastern artist or based on an eastern property.

But yeah. Watermarks is the only real reason to flag this, though they're reason enough.

    I don't think it's a troll, just another close-minded individual getting on his war-chair because it's a pony-related upload.

But back to this picture, the quality is definitely Danbooru quality, and we've approved lots of Western Copyrighted material. But the barrage of watermarks is what's not acceptable by Danbooru's standards.

    Klaudandus

Yeah, and I completely understand that, the watermarks that is.

If it's deleted, so be it. I regret nothing.

But I still find it funny that the reason that could actually merit a deletion is the one that is not listed.

    Klaudandus

I was agreeing with you actually.

Was just saying that whoever flagged it should have put watermarks as reason for deletion than basically going 'omg, ponies' (or as they put it:western artist, western copyright, non-anime style) -- and thus, why I'm amused at the whole thing.

So yeah, again, if its deleted over the watermarks, so be it - because those are the rules.

Was hoping they were not invasive enough, but I guess part of the watermark being on Luna's cheek -is- invasive. C'est la vie.

I dunno about that, there's another image in the flag pile right now that's been flagged because the artist was not eastern. It could have been done by the same guy.

I'm sure a pony-hater could find a much more delete-able pic from searching through the pony posts.

    Anelaid

Okay, I'm reapproving this. The watermarks are a bit there, but the given reasoning of the western artist was crap.

    Arrei

As I understand it I think it's more that third-party watermarks are grounds for deletion regardless of quality, but watermarks in general can be grounds for deletion if they are, as the rules say, "needlessly invasive" enough to reduce the image's quality, right?

But that's unimportant because it's apparently the artist's own watermark and two janitors now don't think it's invasive enough to axe.

We should stick an artist tag on this, at any rate. Is it zelda.ame as her Pixiv profile seems to say, zeldacw like her website, or zeldacw99 like the Pixiv image link?

Luna reminds me of Madonna for some reason.
