No idea what's going on (since I haven't read the previous pages yet either), but it's already classic.

Seiga's gonna get stomped soon
JakeBob
So, Seiga's trying to convince the person who can essentially read people like a book to take Hakugyokuro's main residence and turn it into a dojo with lies and deceit, whilst the caretaker of the place has just whoopsied herself into the picture.
I think I can see where this is going, and yet I'm still not sure if it'll go well.
The Vault Dweller
In panel 4 of page 2 you can see Youmu has "Myon" in her eyes.
WAHa 06x36
"Myon" is a nickname for Youmu herself, not her ghost half.
Blossop
We used to call it Myon, but last year for various reasons we all decided not to. Vault Dweller apparently didn't get the memo.
StriderTuna
Some people choose not to go with such a policy.
WAHa 06x36
"Various reasons" being that it is not actually its name.
Again, it is well established that Youmu's nickname is "Myon". Western fans managed to confuse themselves into believing this was the nickname for the ghost half, but this was never the case.
If you are going to go around believing this, there is a ton of material out there that is going to be very confusing.

Even a spirit half needs exercise.

Actually it was and is. You know, in the west. Like you just said.

This silliness has gone far too long. Time to stop it.
You know what's also "well stablished"? That Mannosuke is not the fundoshi-manly-Rinnosuke's name. That fanon version's name is well stablished as Kourin.
In Japan.
Danbooru is not Japan. You'll notice we're not discussing in japanese here.
Pyonta is a fandom name for Suwako's hat when it behaves as a separate entity. Since this name was given in Japan, it's "official" for us. So far, so good.
Youmu's hitodama is called "Hanrei" (lit: spirit-half) in Japan. While this this makes perfect sense in their language, it's completely unused here. It has a pixpedia article here, and those of you in the audience familiar with hiragana can see why I'm this mad about this issue just by looking to the main pic there. In the picture, the hitodama is saying "Myon", like a fucking Pokemon.
Hanrei doesn't need a nickname in Japan because its native name is two syllabes long. For us, Konpaku Youmu (ghost) doesn't cut it, so it needs a proper nickname.
So, I'm refusing to let a deficiency from the japanese community (not coming with a catchy nickname for Youmu's spirit half) spoil the fun for the western community. Myon happens to be an excellent name for that thing and nobody's "wrong" for using it. It's also a nickname for Youmu herself, even if that's barely used here. Since Youmu and Myon are technically a single being, nobody is actually confused.
The unfortunate thing here was danbooru's decision to revert a perfectly valid naming process in the name of... what again? If it's "fidelity", then why not ditch Mannosuke for Kourin, too?
Zaku Zelo
Thank you.

cf you're awesome!

Koopa (JP) = Bowser (US)
Problem is that this example had come about before 2000, so I have no idea if the practice is encouraged anymore.
I don't mind the mistake since I like using 'Myon' as a shorthand, though it brings up the question of where the Kourin-Mannosuke name change came from.

Hilarious xD

The "is going walkies" part is so adorable.
