Technically and strictly speaking, no, vampires cannot conceive children via sex and no amount of "modern vampire literature" will change my mind. That is unless you want to count zombies having "children" by biting and turning other's into zombies as well.

If you won't accept "modern vampire literature", than consider this: Vampires are creations of people's fears. And fears can become anything, nowadays things are different, and how exactly coudln't vampires conceive in the "CLASSIC VAMPIRE LITERATURE" to which you are indirectly referring? No matter how much humans in the 1200's studied, they barely had any idea how they themselves conceived.

I think it more has to do with the "original" (of which there are many, many variations) of East-European vampire lore, in that vampires were essentially zombies, truthfully and honestly. The typical model was someone who came back to haunt friends and family, kill them, and then usually went back to being dead. As for why, the explanations ranged from revenge for not being buried correctly to being buried unbaptized to being victims of the plague. Vampires as the result of suicide or execution-by-hanging are also frequent motifs.

They're kinda the middle ground. Not exactly Euro-Vampire, not exactly zombie. And, as pointed out above, vampires basically started out as zombies in Europe to begin with.
But as for Yoshika getting pregnant, I'd think death might being to a screeching halt the ovulation cycle. But I think we're forgetting the main point here: THIS IS HENTAI. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
Just repeat the MST3K Mantra, but just replace "show" with "hentai"
"It's just hentai, so I should really just relax".

Modern? one of the oldest vampire myth-sets out there is the Dhampir, the half vampire. It dates back several hundred years.

they started out as zombies, not so much ending up that way.

In certain cultures, Vampires can impregnate human females or very rarely BE impregnated, in which case they have what is known as a Dhampir.
