I don't know how I forgot about this one, but it's done now.

Also, I know of the axe/lake parable, but not too sure if the "Night Princess" is referencing something else. It feels like I'm forgetting something...

EDIT: I think she might be referring to Nocturne when she says "Father" since he's the one making the nightmare.

I don't know if there's same Chinese lore, but (well i am pretty sure East Asia shares every single folk lore)there was a Korean folk lore which went like this: A lumberjack loses his axe in a pond. He cries because his job as a lumberjack is an only way of making his living. The Spirit of the Pond comes up and asks, "which of the axes are yours? The Golden, silver or the old iron axe?" The lumberjack says, "The old one." The spirit says that's some nice honesty and gives all 3 axes.

I'm pretty sure she wasn't supposed to break the axe.

Yes, that's what makes the joke. Otherwise it wouldn't be a nightmare from Nocturne, now would it? :)

Olaf: That was passed down from generation to generation ...

    WAIT ... Olaf is Armstrong's sibiling? ...

    CausticBleach

It's pretty funny because this reminds me of a Korean folk story...

Oh wait, I think the other two "axes" female Nocturne has are a Tiamat and Black Cleaver.
