NO. You don't.... you DON'T moefy and pedophile-sexualize Barefoot Gen. Portraying reality as it is rather than idealized is the POINT, you don't... you don't stylize that, or, at least, don't increase the stylization more than is necessary for the medium. You just DON'T use a "cutesy" and heavily stylized artstyle for an autobiographical story about life in the first two weeks of August, 1945 in Nagasaki! And adding BLUSHING to a scene that, while I don't recognize, is either about starvation and running out of resources before the bomb or the aftermath of the bomb... different genres get different artstyles associated, dammit! You don't use Junji Ito style for a romantic comedy, and you don't use Moe style for Autobiographical Horror!
