Probably due to their stage 5 boss status, and if you think about it, both are servants to the final boss.

Imizu seems to love pitting characters against Reisen.

Both of their characteristics are somewhat the same too (even in canon material) So it would seem like they would get along pretty well if they ever "hung out".

It think the actual reason, even though stupid enough, is this:

Rei-sen + You-mu = Rei-mu

so yeah...

To me its the fascination about sword vs. guns thingie in Japan.

Might as well ask for an explaination behind the whole ParseexYuugi thing as well. For as popular as it is(as well as how fast) it is still a crack pairing to the canon material.

same here but with that, Has to have the most unique Reisen because of that

Realisticly speaking she would have ears much like that if she was to have them where normal human ears are rather just being on the top of her head.
