Marisa reminds me of D somehow. Which, given the EoSD characters next to her, is wonderfully appropriate.

I agree that is the immediate image she conveys. Personally, I just love how the artist drew her hair and the butterfly wing pattern at the end of her veil is a superb detail. I am particularly fond of this design for it's effective simplicity.
Love Yukari's as well. Those eyes are quite eerie.
Anyway, excellent art all round. The artist has both an eye for drawing and designing.
Now I only wish we get to see his/her take on more of the series' characters.

With the success of Koumajou densetsu series, I wouldn't be surprised if there is more to come. But KD2 just came out so...

Koumajou is one of the best touhou fan series, of course there will be more.

And I want Eientei cast for the next game. A gothic Kaguya would be simply beautiful.

Somehow, I'd imagine her to be a lot like Shanoa from Order of Ecclesia, but instead of glyphs, she uses her flames in those forms.

Komachi is being modest in the game. Very modest.

But Komachi's importance for the plot is so small...

I hope she gets a better role in the next game than a simple ferryman.

The artist could pull some epic Nightmare Fuel for Reisen's part.

That's pretty much the intended parody in this game, with Sakuya being the Alucard.

From what I've observed, the games are mirroring the touhou ones, give or take a bit. Add a little, take a little. As such, Komachi was added a little. Should the maker continue to PoFV... well now... that would be quite something~<3

So, you're thinking it'd be like Portrait of Ruin then? In such a case the main heros would probably be Reimu and Marisa (closest match to Charlotte and Jonathan). Any of the partners from IN (Yukari, Yuyuko, Remilia) would be too broken as regular playable characters save Alice, though Alice and Marisa as leads would be interesting.

It occured to me later yesterday evening (I work graveyard shift) but Portrait of Ruin would work surprisingly well with the IN cast. I can see a Gothic-style Eirin with a mad scientist-motif and a monocle in the place of Brauner, and Kaguya and a brainwashed Mokou in place of the two vampire sisters, Stella and Loretta (Mokou would be the physical fighter and Kaguya the magic-using sister).

Am i The only One thinking on Subterranean Animism for the third part

The first is kinda just about EOSD,
and the second includes most characters from PCB
so what can we expect from the next game? If there is one?

Scenario:
1) Eientei inhabitants trying to take over Devil Castle before it demolished.
2) Castle of Eternity, following right into Eiyashou's scenario (The night becomes longer, fake moon, etc)
3) Aya Shameimaru trying to get some 'news' on recent incidents (KD1/KD2)

See? There are tons of concept and scenario for a sequel. And bunch more for derivative/expansion/standalone.

It's a sad thing that Letty doesn't appear in this game. Men, she's just one of the most underrated Touhou characters.
