Perhaps I should put my comment better; when making a statement about Touhou that refers to work that is purely fannon, if cannon contradicts it then that fannon is not true. I.E., a work that depicted Kaguya and Mokou as two mortal, feuding high school girls would, although potentially enormously entertaining, would simply not be true. It is, however, true for the alternate universe the artist created. This, for instance, would be the "Masaraverse". What holds true here doesn't neccessarily hold true even in other alternate verses, nor does it hold true in the canonverse.

Since canon is the *source* of everything the fanon creates, I mark it as being of a *far* higher order than the fanon. Afterall, the canon exists just fine without the fanon...but the fanon *cannot* exist without there first being canon from which it can be based off of.

But some fanon isn't based on canon at all, but shitty fans projecting things on to characters. in the Masara verse, Remi sucks in bed, etc.

this adds to my theory that Meiling pads...

I'm a good half a planet away from her location so I should be safe from her kicks.
