More forum upload steals.
Believe it or not, that male chibi is the revamped Big-Al. Engloid - Big-Al boxart .

No word if Ann will get the same treatment.

Well, the artist who drew Big Al's box art did a fanart of a fake Sweet Ann box art once, and it was way better than the original. If they ever call her to revamp Sweet Ann's boxart, I'll squee with joy.

lol I actually like the retro Sweet Ann boxart, my only issue is that she has no bottom half. But I would like see the artist Ash -redraw the boxart, because she did do a nice style with Ann's stitches.

And it seems like Vocaloid is moving past professional musicians, and being used more by hobbyist. Having animated characters does draw in more people.

And I'm still wondering if it's a good thing or not . I miss the good old times when producers like Yanagi, Shu-t of TuKuRu were popular

I wonder that myself. Then again you are replying to someone who would like to own the Sonika program one day. Just to see what I can do with it.

So far Yamaha has let companies using their program have some form of balance. In a sense having a tool for music and also a mascot rep. So there are probably quite a lot of Vocaloid songs that were not produced by professional musicians.

Vocaloid is popular in Japan, but it shouldn't surprise anyone that Vocaloid is also not widely accepted or liked.

For example, Supercell is very well known, but if every Vocaloid song was done by just one or two groups or a handful of individuals, it would be rather boring.
sorry for getting all wordy
