When I first saw it, I couldn't believe it...
Gotta love SHAFT.

I loled so hard when I first saw this.

I am now considering this show.

I'll say Ive had more fun watching this show than Haruhi Suzumiya season 2 (except for Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody and Kyon about to bitch slap Haruhi in The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya Part 4).

Also, Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei is great if you can digest and comprehend enough Japanese culture.

I was watching this episode when I brought this picture up and laughed at it. and then I was like "WHAT THE F-" it happened like a minute later in the show!

I dunno, SZS has a ton of jokes that require no knowledge of Japan. In fact, they make fun of US politics and culture quite a bit. I'd say if you are here, you know enough.

And yes, SHAFT is awesome for visual gags like this (I also loved in Negima?! where they modeled a dinner scene after The Last Supper)

And once again people demonstrate that they wouldn't know an important character development if it walked up and punched them in the face.
