This was posted a few months back, was it not? I seem to remember the discusion about this not being copying. Instead these are textbook Jeet-Kune-Do moves.
I seem to remember Jeet-Kune-Do being called "the style of no style," in other words, being completely adaptable to the weaknesses in an enemy's pose and moves without being restricted by any one doctrine or dogma of an established "school."
haha so are the camera changes and the reactions of the person getting hit part of the text book jeet kune do moves? haha what a load of bs, animation companies rehash stuff all the time. just watch gundam seed.
Just to make sure this wasn't another "Evangelion vs. Nadesico" fake, I checked out that ep of Naruto (its 61 FYI). This isn't fake, just one flip to match left/right up. But I'd rather not think negative and say that its copying.
I say either Naruto is doing a Cowboy Bebop tribute, or more likely, these are both taken from the same Bruce Lee film. Most likely from "Return/Reveng/Way of the Dragon". Don't know what is the correct title, I see all of them at imdb.
What a bunch of lazy animators. Even if they want to steal something, at least adjust it to the fact that neji isnt even supposed to punch people when the style he uses is completely different.
Wait which came out first? Bebop movie came out in 2k1, which means it was being worked on in the late 90's. Didn't Naruto come out at the same time? Nah...Bebop probably came first. Well if you're going to copy might as well copy from something that's pure awesomeness
this is just a tribute, and its kinda funny they both are good at hand to hand combat and both have special eye conditions spike has a prosthetic and neji has a blood trait .
