Wasn't it also 3D in Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green? Still, it's a pretty cool image.

The GBA games weren't really 3D as just detailed; the DS ones are 3D, however, though still not really isometric.

What a terrible comment. If you'd honestly take R/B remade for DS over HG/SS, your nostalgia goggles must be permanent. Once was enough, unless they do complete 3D high-def overhauls... but they won't.

What I meant was HG/SS is not the same setting as in FR/LG, except after beating the game, when you can go back to the first games' areas.

when they run out of ideas for pokemon and remade all the other versions thats next on their list. But imo they should focus on renovating the gameplay, i mean srsly its the same game every version. beat gym leaders, beat elite four, catch pokemon, and then thats it. GameFreak should really try to be more creative with pokemon just a little, like this picture does.
