Starlight Breaker is her bigger attack. Divine buster is a quickie.

Magic in the Nanoha series is unable to kill (Only induces pain). That's why nobody ever dies from Starlight Breaker and the like.

but nanoha magic can inflict massive amounts of property damage. having your planet blown to pieces is a nifty loophole around the "no-killing" problem.

why do i feel that archer from F/SN is the only person who can block this attack

I'd say it has more to do with the awesome power of the defense spells used. Property gets wrecked all over; that's clear indication that without magical defenses, these magical attacks would be fatal.

Remember, Nanoha's proud of how she controls her magic well enough that she doesn't seriously injure others.

Magic in Nanoha-verse is usually set to non-lethal. And not all magic causes physical destruction. Magic can kill people if set otherwise. That is, if we only count magic, and not physical attacks and other types of magic that can produce similar results of being a physical nature.

Mid-Childa is moving away from weapons that kill, that is, physical class/style/magic/weapons. The Ancient Belka were the ones who generally used physical types of weapons and magic. Along with other types, of course. And their style are no different from ours, in that, it can kill by producing damage physically.

This is true. A Barrier Jacket (for M-C) and a Knight Armor (for Belka) does play a large role in protecting a person from magic and physical damage/impact. Even heat, electricity, and other neat stuff. All you need to do is add it into the program. They're made up with both a field and a barrier, after all.

And Nanoha does control her magic so it doesn't kill a person. If she didn't, there would be one hell of a messy scene...

The sad thing is, this is ALMOST cannon. One more season and she probably be able to do this.

One more season and she'll be an old grandma ;)

Can you think of anything more frightening than a crotchety old grandma Nanoha? Normal grandmas have their words, and at most a walking cane to hit you with. Nanoha's words can cause megaton yield explosions, and her "walking cane..." That's the stuff of nightmares, my friend.

I'm guessing the there's not a magic energy gauge durable and strong enough to measure the magical energy required to do this attack.

So would the next step be an undead Nanoha bringing an end of the world?

I think the Magic Users in the Nanoha-Verse stop aging at the height of their physical development. I haven't watched or read much of Nanoha, but AFAIHS there's no 'old people' in the Nanoha-verse.

MZeroX

Yeah, the Three Generals in StrikerS are definitely old, and they are renowned magic users. Maybe they just age slowly, or the artists are lazy.

'Usually' is the key word.
This is why they use power limiters and Hayate rarely goes out on any missions. Most of her spells are outright apocalyptic.

Also, Hayate can't aim. She needs targeting support from either Rein or Long Arch to have much chance of hitting her target. Or at least of hitting it without reducing the entire square-kilometer of space around it to rubble...

If I recall correctly that was some sort of side-effect of the way her magic was awakened: she is literally incapable of focusing it properly on her own.

I have suspicions as to whether this actually classifies as overkill: it seems like she is using just enough power to blow up a planet.

Definition of overkill (Danbooru):
"NOT just a big explosion; such an explosion must be more than was ever conceivably needed to destroy a particular target."

CatAnon

The blast is apparantly capable of causing an entire planet to completely rupture and rip apart, as well as have an outer shockwave AND looks like it still has some juice left before completion.

This is the definition of "overkill"

Now let's see the definition of white devil.

One have to be clad in white, with a tit of blue, red and yellow/gold.

Gains access to bits/funnels at the third season he/she appeared.

and most importantly...

Well, they are clearly running out of things for her to fight. First boss was a standard witch; the second was a Cthulu expy. At that point they just said "what the hell" and chucked a damn super star destroyer at her.

Actually, no. Exterminatus is not an Ordo. It's just an order given by Inquisitors. Ordos are just departments of the Inquisition, the big three being Malleus, Hereticus, and Xenos. There are only two exceptions, the Ordo Sinister, part of the Collegia Titanica, and the Ordo Hydra, which came from the 40k equiavelent of Camelot, the Place So Silly We Shall Not Go To.

- Commissar Ciaphas Cain of the 597th Valhallan Regiment, 23 Galactic Sector, Tanivus Star System, -

"I have heard the rumors echo of a White Daemon roaming the 23rd Galactic Sector, laying waste to planets and it's inhabitants. Upon hearing this, I laughed. What folly, I said. A woman far younger than my sergeants, flying through space, with power of an imperial vessel. I even asked my men why were they so serious about nothing more than propaganda and old wives tales. But then I saw it. through the ship's viewing monitors, was the White Daemon. Had I not realized my folly, my complexion would not be the pale color it is today."
