Tags being strange (Shugo Chara)

I'm changing the seven shugo_kyara tags to the real title, shugo_chara, but it's behaving oddly.

At first I just did a tag script, shugo_chara -shugo_kyara and just clicked the seven thumbnails. I couldhave just mass edited but whatever, it took a matter of seconds. This seemed fine (clicked on an image and say 7 shugo_chara tags) but when I click on shugo_chara it brings up no hits.

I deleted it from the one image I just upped, post #145656 and then tried to reapply it (shugo_chara) fresh. When I do so, it applies as shugo_kyara o_O

Something similarly weird happened when minami_haruka was moved to minami_haruka_(artist) to make way for the Minami-ke character, but that corrected itself in day or so. Maybe this will do the same?

Ah, nevermind. I just saw there's an alias for shugo_chara to shugo_kyara.

Any idea why? Chara is the official spelling and the one it seems to be known by everywhere and how it's being subbed in the show as well.

Also, the name used in the URL for the official site. I don't defend engrish when it makes *no* sense, but it certainly makes sense with this show (her other 'characters' [personalities])

Edit: I've reverted them to shugo_kyara until the alias can be removed (or even better, reversed), so that they're visible. They weren't showing up under either tag when the weirdness started.

I guess because the name is in katakana. But ANN says Shugo Chara, so I'm gonna revert it to that.
