Pff, so you consider it also better that if a moderator warns other users in a discussion that this mod gets downvoted and the discussion goes on like nothing happened? It is like having a moderator on the ignore-list in a forum^^.
How about giving Admins/Moderators an option (like a checkbox) that will prevent a particular comment from being downvoted, instead of making that the default...? That would allow them to make bad jokes or be controversial, but if necessary they could control the discussions on a thread....

I think this is the best solution for now.
Okay... updated issue #2799 to give Moderator+ an option instead of making it default.

This is probably not the right topic for it, but I think he took it the hardest after NOOU lost approval privileges. There were quite a many posts that were borderline or had niche fetishes but that I definitely would have approved if I could. For the latter, that's probably because I'm more accepting of that kind of stuff.
But he probably had it when he wasn't included in the Christmas promotion list that went through just now. I remember a small comment thread complaining about approvals and one user went a little... haywire, to say the least, about the things we do or don't accept.
I think howto:upload could use a tiny revision though. One sentence says we accept most art from most artists, but that's really up to interpretation, and right now it seems a little less so given such an famous/infamous approver is now gone.

It's not really a "list" per se, but Wypatroszony recently promoted a handful of users this Christmas.

Just as an FYI, this was fixed an hour ago and saved searches are working again.
