Not really. A post with the female_protagonist_(pokemon_go) -pokemon_(creature) would also fall under your search. Works also with the male protagonist.

dainamitee -pool:11380 does return three posts, but they probably would have been put in the pool anyway

Since all the pages (except the last but I doubt it'll fit somewhere else) are already in another pool as a complete doujin, can I reuse the pool to upload another doujin?

There's neither story, nor organization, nor even any rhyme or reason which of dainamitee's drawings get added to the pool. It's pointless in every sense of the word.
Saying that Nyancore thing shouldn't be in a pool due to lack of storyline is the same as saying pool #2849 shouldn't have been made a pool until the "plot arcs" started up on page 110 or that pool #10012 should either be deleted or be split up into about two pools per page.
Nyancore isn't its own copyright, isn't a character, and isn't something widespread (like a meme), so it shouldn't be a tag. It's a set of images relating to the same concept (animalized KanColle shipgirls drawn in colored pencil style by one artist) and are thus part of a collection even if they don't have some kind of solid storyline. Originally I converted a tag that was being used to the pool, and I assumed the artist themselves had some way of demarcating such images.
If you really wanted, I suppose it could be made a collection pool instead of a series one, though that would be kinda strange. Whether the artist has more images on the site isn't really relevant; rakurakutei_ramen -pool:2849 doesn't result in anything but side images to ones in the pool either.

how is the animalization tag insufficient? That's all it is!

That is a structured comic, even if it doesn't have a storyline, it has the same basic setup and payoff for all of the actions. Dainamitee's things aren't even 1komas.

I don't feel it's worth arguing so much over. I think there's a lot of precedent in other existing pools of images that have no sensible "story" or "setup" links between images that could be replaced even with just artist tag searches. If another mod or admin disagrees and deletes it, so be it.
I don't care about the no-story thing, that was an example.
The whole pool is literally dainamitee kantai_collection animalization and pools are not supposed to be used to get around the two-tag search limit for basic users.
I have to agree with Gollgagh, I don't see much of a reason for the Nyankore pool. Even a dainamitee animalization works.
