This seems to be part of some new Pixiv meme, tagged "BOX戦闘少女", BOX Sentou Shoujo. post #926067, post #926336 and post #926692 were also tagged with it. Seems to be original character designs though (judging by the オリジナル tag), so... pool it? copy:Tag it?

It's a contest for Kodansha.

More posts that are tagged as such: post #926575, post #926619, post #926630... There are probably more. We should probably make a decision soon. Last time we had a similar situation (vocalo keikaku), and we made a pool. But this time, there's not really a unified tag like vocaloid to search for.

Hmmm, Pixiv Fantasia is a tag but as you mention we have pools for these too. I guess pool them like most of the pixiv projects.

Made and populated it (pool #3578). Perhaps someone with better Japanese can provide a better explanation of the goal of this contest. Also, should we have a Kodansha copyright tag on these? I'm thinking no.

From what I can gather from the pixpedia article, the contest is sponsored by Kodansha (the Kodansha BOX imprint in particular), Star-Child and pixiv to find a "rookie" illustrator. The winner of the contest would be able to do character design and illustrations for a light novel in BOX-AiR. The art would also be featured on the cover of BOX-AiR issue 4. Not really sure about this, but the highest rated work will become animated.

Unlike the Kodansha x AIC light novel contest, there doesn't seem to be any monetary award.
Also, this seems like it's the first in a series of bimonthly themed contests.
