Consolidation for ribbon_choker and neck_ribbon

Posted under General

It seems we have two alike tags:
ribbon_choker and neck_ribbon*

Given that their usage seems the same, they should be given an alias.

And while I'm mostly ambivalent on the alias direction, I'd have to lean towards using neck_ribbon to account for images like post #464511, where a ribbon is more-so used as a tie than a choker. That is, assuming we'd be fine with globbing the two together - which I am in favor of, because it would be too granular otherwise IMO.

If we were to go through with using neck_ribbon, the ribbon wiki would need to be adjusted, and we'd have to tag choker as-applicable, rather than having an implication.

Thoughts?

*I actually introduced this tag a while ago, but I'm not sure if ribbon_choker was in use at the time.

Edit: Bump.

I know it may be a little obtuse for posts like that, but that's the most general name I could think of to cover all possible neck/ribbon-related images.

Or would it still be preferable to distinguish between the two?

What would you think of using
ribbon_choker for ribbons being used as chokers, and
ribbon_tie for ribbons being specifically used as a tie?

Updated

I don't like how collar_ribbon seems ambiguous with collar, but I can't think of anything better (more like collar should be renamed into something more specific instead).

I went through neck_ribbon to change to ribbon_choker when appropriate, so I guess neck_ribbon can now be aliased to collar_ribbon.

Ambiguous in that ribbon_choker is supposed to mean "ribbon as choker", but "ribbon flavored choker" would be called the same way, just like bow_panties and the like are. Perhaps we could go for choker_ribbon for them, as in "ribbon worn around a choker", but that may be too granular and confusing.
And most don't even look like chokers in the first place, more like, detached collars. Would there be a tag for those already?

I have no idea what this is.
