oh, I forgot.
3, I want people to know why artists drew them.
sometimes, without description, images become "mere beautiful images".
(ex, my favorite post #640497)
@ sakuma
I think this could be appropriate, but I wouldn't use translation_request here, as it has a sort of fixed relationship with translated. Perhaps a new commentary_request tag request to go along with commentary would be a good idea.

Nice timing. Would it be possible for you to apply what you're asking for as well?
Right before you made this thread I came across a post you tagged the_iron_of_yin_and_yang, then I noticed you've been doing this on a considerable amount of posts.
I assume you did so because you have some knowledge about the series. Unfortunately, for those who don't the reference is most often totally obscure. Why not sharing some explanation then?

if I can, with pleasure.
but my english is very poor, so I may not become great help.
there may be modest people who want to explain, but dont want to be hated by posting long comment.
I wish, this tag help those.
experimentally, I added this tag to some posts.(which have interesting commentary, I thought.)
post #463071 (a true love story)
but how should it be standardized?

+1 for introducing commentary_request.
Definitely.
Went through commentary, removing translated from translated commentary without text in the picture and adding commentary_request (and removing translation_request) from untranslated commentary. Misuse them and I will find where you live and lecture you sternly.
A few questions:

Should commentary_request be implicated to translation_request? The idea didn't occur to me until I was nearly done tag editing, but it would probably make it a little easier for translators.
They should remain distinct, in my opinion. The eventual flood of textless images will only confuse translators that have translation_request bookmarked.
Should posts with author commentary in the image itself be tagged commentary/commentary_request? (This sort of thing mainly shows up in doujin foreword/afterword pages, e.g. post #343456.) I left them tagged with both commentary/commentary_request and translated/translation_request, but I'm ambivalent about the appropriateness of that solution.
If it's directly on the image, then translation_request alone is fine. The commentary tag implies off-site comments that weren't explicitly stated in the image.
