Sailor Moon aliases discussion

Posted under General

We try not to add "the" to tags unless we absolutely have to. I think sailor_senshi clearly enough refers to a group, and even if it's unclear we can clarify in the wiki.

No, it should be the character. I didn't set up an alias because we want it to be open. Like NWF said, the tag count is just wrong still. You can see the actual number of pages for the real count. The count should update eventually, though I thought it would have by now.

Currently it is saying it is aliased to /bssm

I was leaving a note in the wiki to indicate that the series was a different tag, and /bssm is that tag's alias. Not that sailor_moon itself was the series tag. Guess the wording wasn't clear.

As for the cosplays, I really wasn't sure if we should edit them all (since that'd really kinda mean I have to alias them all), but either way.

I've already edited most of the cosplays from "[civilian name]_(cosplay)" to "[transformed name]_(cosplay)", the only exceptions are those that obviously show the civilian characters (eg post #498113) and those that only imitated the costumes and their styles, but not the color palettes (eg post #547084).

I decided to add and use a sailor_senshi_(cosplay) tag for use when a Sailor Senshi-type uniform is used in a parody but is fanmade or otherwise not a specific one from the series. Should sailor_senshi be added to those too? I wasn't sure as there seemed to be a group focus for that tag, and many of the parody cosplay are solo characters.

I'm 50% tempted to say drop the () because it seems superfluous without a foo tag but 50% tempted to say keep it for consistency's sake.
