Wiki links problem?

Let's say I click on a picture tag '?' (say, hong meiling). In her Wiki entry there's a link for izayoi sakuya. Clicking on that makes the information appear, but the entry title is "izayoi sakuya" instead of "Character: izayoi sakuya" and the "Recent Posts" pics are missing. (Clicking the link on that page for breast padding works fine, though). A bug?

It's a known (and wontfix'd IIRC) problem with using capitalized tags. To get around it, use this syntax: "Izayoi Sakuya" : http://danbooru.donmai.us/wiki/show?title=izayoi_sakuya

(remove the spaces and it turns out like this: Izayoi Sakuya)

Is there a specific reason for the wontfix? It seems like it should be trivial to just use toLower or downcase or whatever function Ruby uses to force lowercase on the subject of a wiki link. Since all tags are stored as lowercase only, that would ostensibly fix the problem.

Well since I can build a manual workaround, there's no reason the code can't detect caps and do it for you, so yeah I don't know why it's wontfix'd. Low priority I can see but wontfix doesn't make much sense to me. Then again I haven't actually checked if it really was a wontfix. I can't seem to find the ticket at all.

Despite the history, the status isn't actually set to wontfix. I think it's more an confusing artifact of a spam prevention thing that was in effect at one point.

When I realized this to be more or less a wontfix case, I simply started using [ [izayoi_sakuya|Izayoi Sakuya] ] style syntax (remove spaces) when expanding or creating wiki entries. That will leave a lot of redundance if the bug gets fixed, but should not screw up anything. Correct me if I am wrong.
