Danbooru

Tag suggestion: contrapposto, or similar

Posted under General

Hello, I'm new here, and I don't know an awful lot about art technique or the inner workings of Danbooru.

However, I recently came across a term in my art history class, "contrapposto." It refers to a character in the act of shifting weight from one leg to another, giving a sense of motion and confidence.

We have plenty of other "pose" tags, such as crossed_arms or knees_bent, because such tags help identify something distinctive about the image, and also say something about the mood. It also seems this is an important term in the art community, as it's being introduced in a freshman-level survey class.

If a similar tag already exists, or if someone can think of a better (less stuffy?) tag for it, please steer me right.

Edit: right, I should start looking for examples. Have a look at the 'pedia's page in the meantime. It could explain the concept better than I can anyway.
