"this is rlly epic"
"dats pretty awesome"

Small sample of the particularly bad ones. You shouldn't be afraid to comment, but you should refrain from doing so unless you have something worthwhile to say.

Relax, you haven't been banned or anything. Take it for what it is – a warning.

All it means is that you have to think a little longer before you comment. Only post something when you're positive it'll be a worthy contribution to the conversation. Negative records can be redeemed.

It means you should use the post without bumping option if you have something like that to say.

Pretend like your comments are essays: graded for insightfulness and analysis.

No smilies, no "lols" ever, no one word replies, no saying how much you like the picture.

I looked through some of your comments and I noticed a very grave matter: You are allergic to apostrophes. :)

Not even getting into the content of the comments, you should try and be a bit more careful with your spelling and punctuation. It's "aren't", not "arent". "I'm", not "im".

No one expects perfection, but a correctly spelled and punctuated comment is probably going to be looked at in a far kinder light than one that isn't.

A -1 on your record isn't the end of the world, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Here, I fixed it slightly for you, so at least the spelling and formatting is acceptable, but the same basic problem as with your comments persists: none of them form a coherent thought; it's just a string of short sentences with only a modicum of sense and no connection to each other.

As to the "now I'm scared" part, that was pretty much the point of giving you a negative record. If and when you comment, you're supposed to give some value to whomever might be reading what you wrote. This might be as simple as "here, look at what an awesome picture I've just seen", but it should be there. If all you do is spew out badly spelt, inconsequential exclamations ridden with annoying emoticons and bad formatting, at a rate of 120 / 2 days, then you aren't "adding" to anything anyone said. You're taking away, because your comments move the listing page as much as the most insightful ones; so in effect you've just spammed the site, making it harder to follow valuable discussions.

The record doesn't mean you're forbidden from commenting. But it does mean your comments up till now were very unsatisfactory and you are advised to change the way and how often you write them.

This is expected. We've taken away the user's ability to vote so the only way to show they like a pic is by posting these comments. I also don't see what you expect other than one liners or concise comments like "I like this". Verbosity doesn't mean whatever the poster has to say is more important.

I don't think verbosity is the issue, it's the thought and semantics behind the comment that is at issue. A verbose and loquacious version of "OMG LOL" is even worse than the terse version, I would think.

If there isn't something specific about the image they liked or have thoughts about, there probably isn't much meaningful to be said. If there is, it will probably come out in the comment and the commenter shouldn't be penalized for it.

The comments page moves way too fast, and has too much junk to be worth following anymore. I haven't been able to keep up with it for months and months now. That coupled with the fact that basically all the mods have given up moderating it leads to a less than satisfactory situation.

That implies things were different when they could vote.
