Artist problem: Cos (Cosmic?)

Posted under General

The artist cos is named cosmic on pixiv. Normally, this wouldn't be much of a problem, but one of the posts attributed to her (post #491312) is actually done by another artist on pixiv. One named COS. (http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=164328) I can't find Pixiv COS listed on the site. This leaves me confused as what to do. My inclination is to change the artist presently named cos here to Cosmic and create pixiv COS here under the same name.

The other option I can think of is to create a second artist here named cos_(pixiv164328). Either way, I'll need to make some adjustments to properly attribute the image. (And any others that may be misattributed.)

Comments? Ideas? Precedent?

Whatever you do, don't EVER do this. Do not use a "pixive######" qualifier! We really, really hate that people do that.

What you do, is exactly what you've done, make a thread about it where we'll discuss how to handle the issue.

Bleh this was kind of a mess, made worse by people uploading directly from pixiv but not putting a source link in, and ascribing it to the wrong artist... -_- Sigh, this is why we tell people to add sources and make proper artist entries.

The new cos is bridget00747 - not a great tag but s/he's consistent in using it both on the blog and in the pixiv url.

The old cos... I don't want to alias something as simple as cos and cosmic is just as ambiguous so I edited to cosmic_(crownclowncosmic). Again, not a good tag but these damn artists aren't really giving me much to work with, and it's consistent with the site name and pixiv url.

I reverted cos to general, cleaned out the wiki and left a note pointing to the above artists.
