Tag Alias: no_skirt -> bottomless

Aliasing no_skirt -> bottomless.

Reason: Only 64 posts and it seems to be synonymous with bottomless.

...I guess it makes sense if you think about it, but I totally read "bottomless" as, like, "She screamed in terror as she was swallowed by the sinister darkness of the seemingly bottomless well."

It might be worth your while to check what context we use tags in before leaping into discussions.

Only possible counter-example I can think of is where the subject is normally expected to be wearing a skirt and also something underneath that would disqualify bottomless. Things like bike_shorts or buruma under skirts aren't particularly uncommon, Misaka Mikoto wears regular shorts under hers.

That said, being that it's not a commonly used tag, we could just define it as not applying in those situations.

I can see no_skirt being applicable as regards school uniforms and characters who have specific outfits that normally include skirts. At the same time, though, I don't see a reason it should be its own tag. Yes, there are occasions where I can see it having a reasonable distinction from the more general bottomless, but I don't see a reason why people would search for it instead of bottomless. It's not a cognitive leap I imagine would occur to most people, and in most cases involving uniforms and outfits normally worn by specific characters (including uniforms), bottomless combined with that character or schoolgirl is likely to yield mostly the same results.

EDIT: I should note, having checked the contents of the no_skirt tag, it's mostly images where girls are bottomless (though still wearing panties, which is allowed under the bottomless tag) and not characters wearing other clothing instead of a skirt. In the case of searching for the latter, the desired result can still be reached with a combined search using "pants" or "shorts" instead of bottomless.

+1 for the alias. It's the definition of bottomless. Unless Shinjidude would wish to run a tag script.

I can run a tag script if we are content to abandon the tag completely. My only issue with the alias is that the tag can imply situations that don't strictly fit the definition of bottomless as I stated above.

For example post #437326 or post #503989 are technically no_skirt since they would be expected to wear skirts with their uniform tops (even on top of buruma), but aren't bottomless due to wearing buruma.

If we were setting an implication rather than an alias, I'd say just exclude those situations in the wiki definition. I'm just concerned with possible accidental tag pollution with an unmarked alias.

It can, but that generally seems to be the exception rather than the rule and so not common enough to need a catch-all. I vote for abandoning the tag, personally. As I mentioned above, I just don't see a practical use for it. Even in the case of those to images linked, you could just substitute no_skirt for buruma to find them.
