Tag Alias: lilypad, lilypads, water_lily

The lilypad, lilypads, and water_lily tags all describe the same aquatic plant. Which tag should we alias them to? If we were to discard water_lily, choosing between lilypad and lilypads also seems problematic, since policy is to alias to singular, yet most images on Danbooru show two or more.

It'd be definitely good to unify them, I've been confused about it in the past. Choosing lily_pad as the primary tag makes sense, IMHO, as most of the time it's pad that's visible and not the lily flower itself. Re: plurals, it's not a problem, as they don't form "natural" plurals -- picturing a single lily pad is perfectly fine and in no way unusual. Especially when they're used as umbrellas, which is not uncommon.

A water lily is a "flower" that you sometimes see near lily pads.

I don't think we need to differentiate between the pads and flowers, since they form a single coherent image in most people's minds. And there's only 5 images under water_lily anyway.

I'm aliasing them to lily_pad.

In the case of the flowers you'll likely find what you want by doing a lily_pad flower search. I could imagine a situation in which only the flower appears, but I suspect most people wouldn't really recognize the flower and would just tag it flower.
