How to Auto Order vandalized pools

Posted under General

In my humble opinion, the new history option in the Pools directory is bit inadequate since mass deletions (mass imports as well) are still counted as individual changes. So it can still be annoying when a vandal deletes everything from a very large pool and mods/janitors would be forced to revert every single one of them.

So to help the mods in policing the Pool section, we regular members can do our part in Auto Ordering vandalized pools.

AUTO ORDERING POOLS

1) Import/Add the deleted images to the pool. Using the Import tool is simple enough: type in the tag/s, click "Search," remove unnecessary images, then click "Import."

2) Go to the Order tool, then at the very bottom of the following page, select the "Auto Order" button. In the dialog box that pops up, DO NOT TYPE AN INTERVAL IN THE TEXTBOX, then click "Okay."

3) Notice how the textboxes beside the images have "NaN" in them (I think putting 0 in the interval also has the same effect, but I'm not too sure). Now click "Save."

4) At this point, the images in the pool should be pretty much ordered up according to when they where uploaded to Danbooru (from earliest to latest). There's just one thing left to do.

5) Go back to the Order tool and "Auto Order" button. Now add a 1 in the interval dialog box and click "Okay." Now the images are ordered from 0 - n (the total number of images minus 1). Click "Save" and you're done.

  • If for some reason the images are still unordered (it can happen when an image is uploaded earlier than its predecessor), just manually fix it yourself.
