No one's forcing you to be here while it's like this, you can just leave for the day. You can also just ignore those obviously nonsense BURs. It's not like anyone's going to approve them, and people are still making real BURs and doing actual work while memeing.

I dislike continuing this discussion, but I just want to point out something:
There are exactly 6 joke threads: 26813, 26814, 26816, 26821, 26822, 26823. The Forum front page can hold up to 33 unpinned threads (40, counting the pinned ones). I am not sure what the average thread/day is, but I doubt it significantly impacted other threads.
At a quick glance an average day should be about 150 forum posts. I think today's shitpost posts were about 40?
I do agree that other people shouldn't make fun of you for it because I understand where you're coming from, but at the same time you're making it way bigger than it actually is. The admins aren't idiots, they can figure out which burs are legit and which aren't, and they probably go past the first page (I, at least, usually try to catch up with at least thread titles)
Again, no need to end this on a sour note, most of the world has already moved on to april 2nd.

I would liken it to an American going into a Chinese forum and saying, "And yes, I'm not an Easterner, so I'm totally not into this stupid tradition." while they're having fun with some Chinese holiday. That would be ridiculous, and no one would defend them when they got mocked for it. Danbooru is run by westerners, and April Fool's is a recognized tradition in the west. Danbooru has done this for years. Of course you'll get made fun of if you start pooping on everyone's party like you get the final say on what holidays other cultures are allowed to celebrate.
