Is nudity required for Nude pools?

Posted under General

Specifically the pools Casual Nudity and Artistic Nude.

I had assumed it was. So when I noticed a user adding many posts to these pools which (among other things) weren't nude I started pruning. When I realized I was removing far too many, I stopped and reverted my changes.

Examples:
post #7172093 (first noticed, topless + panties)

Conversely, and for reference, post #10452 has been in and out of both pools since they were created in 2011, despite technically not being nude.

In the case of post #6902308 and post #7164432, neither of them would qualify for either of those pools even if they were nude because they don't meet the other criteria for those pools, so those should still be safe to remove.

The main question aside, I don't see how many of these even fit into the pools. These are clearly not casual nor artistic, just your average lewd anime girls actively giving fanservices, they shouldn't be it the pool either way.

I don't think it hurts to be a bit looser on the standards, the danbooru standard of nude is stricter than how the word is generally used, it allows the pool to catch more posts that should be there, as long as the posts actually meet the standard of being "casual" or "artistic".

e2: The vast majority of the posts added by that user are just wrong. It's literally on the first ever line of the two pools:

not overtly sexual and/or provocative.

For posts with nudity that are not meant to be erotic

I always thought we were looser on what counts as nude, since it allows for clothing not on the head or chest, while most times I hear the word "nude" used is referring to being completely nude.

I have the vague impression that people also use it for topless or bottomless, but I could be wrong.
