Black Rock Shooter Anime

It seems like we changed the tag to black_rock_shooter_(character) just in time, but I was wondering if we're looking to have any tag specifics for the anime? The designs are different as the girls have a more normal looking high school type "form".

I think its best to wait till we get more information. We just don't know enough yet to do proper tagging. I'm assuming that the characters will all get "real" names, and we can probably go back and fix things later once those are revealed.

That's probably true, but what about the copyright tag? Will there be a second tag for the animation? (eg. black_rock_shooter_(anime)) I'm not really sure how Danbooru approaches this but I've seen similar qualifiers.

When I think of anime, I think of a series. I think this is a one shot type of thing, done in parts.

Again, depends how it turns out. Most of the time the anime and original aren't sufficiently different (in ways relevant to danbooru) to warrant two tags. But there are exceptions. We do have, for example, idolmaster_xenoglossia since the anime is so different from the source material, given the different outfits and al the mecha and such. Even there, though, it's a small fraction of the total Idolmaster art (under 200 of over 5500).

Since the original BRS does not, to my knowledge, have the schoolgirl forms *at all*, then we can create a black_rock_shooter_(anime) copy: tag and only apply it where they (or other anime-specific features, if any) appear, as well as implicate the base BRS tag.

I was referring to the annoucement date, not its release date.

And I looked at the page; and I put the link to the page in the BRS wiki- days ago.
