highres and absurdres pics

Posted under General

I noticed lately that many highres and absurdres pics aren't properly tagged as such.

Since those kind of tags depend only on image dimensions, opening tabs and looking at every single pic isn't necessary, so I thought I'd fix this myself using tag scripts and search queries like height:>=1200 -highres or height:>=2400 -absurdres etch, but the amount of posts I got as a result was much larger than I expected.

I don't know what kind of tools mods and admins have at their disposal, but I thought I'd let you know in case it's easy to do and you feel like doing it.

If someone wants to do it, seeing as how if albert hasn't made it a metatag after 8 months he's probably not going to, I would recommend doing it in chunks. Something like height:>=7000 -absurdres and subtracting 500px repeatedly once a day until you hit 3000, it would help prevent it from becoming *too* tedious. (Alternately someone can dmail hazuki and see if he wants to do it again as it appears he's alive and just ignoring the forum.)

I didn't know this had been brought up before, my apologies.

I'll do some tag editing myself starting tomorrow then, but will also send a message to hazuki in case he's willing to do it again (btw is hazuki 葉月 or スラッシュ? I can't read japanese)

Not so much ignore as ran out of time and energy to follow, but it's true. I'll take care of it.

I didn't mean this in a derogatory manner just that you didn't abandon danbooru and instead weren't reading/posting on the forums anymore.

Oh, I didn't take it as derogatory at all. It was a simple note of explanation to add to your essentially true statement.

Great, I was wondering if there was a way to do this instead of being forced to tag script.

You wouldn't want to tagscript your way through it. It's chewed through ~35k images already, and it's still not done with all of highres.

Oh, I see. I was about to ask if anything was broken since you mentioned it'd take an hour or so and there were still so many left, but I guess it takes some time for +35k images.

Are you using height:>=1200 -highres and width:>=1600 -highres or height:>=1200 width>=1600 -highres?

Anyways, thanks again for this!

You can always look at the Job Tasks report in cases like that to see what tasks are running, pending, finished. Reports are accessible through the » link at the top.

The former. The latter wouldn't be correct according to the wiki definition, since it's not an OR query, and we don't have any way to make useful OR queries that work. Only lowres got both at the same time, since 1) it's the definition 2) doing it differently could result in images that are both lowres and highres if they're sufficiently long.
