Has Fantia changed something on their site recently? Because when I try to copy the page link of the post I want to upload (https://fantia.jp/posts/whatever), I only get the thumbnail preview image, not the actual pic. How do I upload the proper image?

As far as i know the fantia extractor can only grab files which can be accessed without subscribing, so files that require you to subscribe to the $0 plan must be manually uploaded. Is that the scenario you're referring to ?

Yes, so how do I upload such a image properly, so it's the highest quality one? Because when I directly copy the address of the image, I get a bad source/link warning.

most likely theyre downloading the image and just changing the source field to link to the page they found it on

Because you can set the correct source yourself during/after making a post.
Also, I made an userscript to make it easier to grab the full res image from fantia and pass the correct article url - please see if it would be of use to you.
