Pool Vandalism

Posted under General

Before making any user restrictions, I think it's best to update pool history first, the most powerful thing to combat vandalism in the first place.

Pool changes are displayed in the general history on Moe.Imouto along with any tag changes, so any vandalism is visible immediately and can be taken care of quickly. I don't think that needs to be done at Danbooru, but general pool history needs to be visible somewhere because currently, it's hard to see vandalism unless you actually go into a pool.

Within the pool history itself, it's more useful and helpful to see what posts are going in and out rather than the whole list of posts that are in the pool at that time. With huge pools it can take a while to find the exact post that may have been added or removed. Also, post id's should be clickable so that you can see if they actually belong in the pool or not. Showing ordering changes is also good.
As for people accidentally removing posts, the remove button just needs to be moved to a slightly different location.

I shall speak as a lazy Member-level user.
Since now the delete function is only avaiable at the pool interface, and, as Log said, any deletions from pools is intentional, I would vote to restrict deletion for higher level users only.
Member-level users should be able to cope well with not being able to delete pics form pools, as I can't phatom how urgent or absolutely essencial such deletion could be.
And worse could happen would be, deletions still happening, wich would mean the delinquent(s) are high-level users (hardly possible to me, actually), or the delinquent(s) would start adding random pics to pools as new way to try and get some attention.

Of course, someone can now come and make me understand how important it is for Member-level users to be allowed to remove pics from pools.

Sorry if I am taking to much space and being kinda selfish.

I personally don't mind much either way, but I can see how it might possibly be annoying both for regular-member's and the janitor-and-ups, if people semi-regularly accidentally add something that needs removed, and have to ask to have it done.

I think the week-long probation should do a lot to prevent future vandalism, and that coupled with better accountability and roll-back mechanisms should mostly mitigate future threats without further hobbling regular members.
