I noticed that we're using a slightly unusal definition for the pixel art tag, which has lead people to add it to oekaki (e.g. post #453395, post #453298) and relatively high-res game cg-style art like post #454709.

I'd expect something more akin to the definition in Wikipedia, i.e., a picture where the low resolution and possibly limited palette allows and forces the artist to pay attention to the colour of each individual pixel. This excludes a large number of the posts currently under pixel_art.

sprite is currently aliased to pixel art.

Yeah, pixelated should be seperate from pixel art, pixel art is a deliberate act that requires quite a bit of work and attention to detail, pixelation isn't usually.

I certainly agree wholeheartedly. It's not pixel art unless the artist actually draws with individual pixels at a time, in my opinion. Oekaki and pixel art aren't quite mutually exclusive, but almost.

should edit it to put "Oekaki is not pixel art"
