Tag Alias and Implication: pillowhat

Now, while the rest of you scratch your heads for a moment trying to figure out what a pillowhat is...

Alias:
pillowhat -> pillow_hat

Implication:
pillow_hat -> hat

Exactly why is it called a pillow hat? Is it because it's made with stuffing similar to a pillow or that they look like putting a small pillowcase over the top of your head like hat?

Anyways, I'm not sure what to really think of the tag. I mean it is a unique style of hat, but the general intention of the hat is to give the appearance of possessing animals ears, typically cat ears, or quite possibly concealing something of that nature. The pillow in the name kind of throws me off, and frankly google searching won't help any.

Pillow Hat is what I've always seen it referenced as.

cause when I look at hats with ears. I certainly don't think of Pillows.

Well to me images like post #74257 look like they could either be ears on the hat or the corners of a pillow case. Images like of Neneko also look like ears, but like in post #74622 it also makes me think of a couch pillow.

There is also post #12380 and post #7547 where they're clearly ears.

Additionally post #12167, which not sure if it belongs at all because they're ears on the hood of the pajamas and not a hat at all.
