The new "wiki" section in the sidebar

is a great idea.

I'd like it to be an option tbh, I already know haruhi is the star of shny and don't really care that "Haruhi porn is proof that there is a God, and that She wants us to be happy." not to mention 90% of the time when I don't know what a tag is it doesn't have a wiki entry at all.

It also breaks if you use a shortcut or search for an aliased tag.

Ban people who vandalize wikis and tags.

I know cosine's vaginas look infected but does it need to be on a supposedly objective wiki? Really now.

Has it been removed already? I can't see it.

It's still there, but only appears for single tag queries.

+1 for "it's a good idea", though it'd be much nicer if the dtext parsed correctly.

In concept it's a good idea, in actual practice we have too many shitty/missing wiki articles.

With the new tweaks I feel that it needs to be an option even more now. A search shouldn't result in a page that is double length just because it has a wiki entry and I don't want a plot summary of k-on! just because I'm searching for it.

I suppose a mass cleanup of the wiki, trimming pages down to the bare minimum could work but making the display an option would probably be easier to do.

I'd just put in a "more" button there, similar to what's already implented for the "favourited by:" -list on the sidebar.

IMO The wiki-in-sidebar is an awesome idea, especially in the case of the more non-obvious tags which are somewhat prominent for abuse by sheer misunderstanding (eg /yggr etc).

In the process of searching /yggr so I could find out what the hell it was, I realized that it listed it as not having a wiki entry. Obviously.

It needs to pull up the wiki entry for whatever tag the tag you are searchign for has been aliased to.

I'd prefer disable but this would be a reasonable compromise and way less work.

The wiki thing should be hidden for metatags and wildcards.

I would display the first paragraph with a "more..." link for the full article.
