Hey guys, just dropping by to say hello. I hope my comments about the artwork's style, content, composure, etc. are acceptable; since it seems not many people really comment on all the great painted pieces.

Anyways, still just getting to know the site. The similarity mechanism is really unique, and incredibly fun. Still have to read about how to tag things and upload pics, but other than that i've got it down. The wiki's really hard to maneuver at first though. xD

See you around guys, cheers for good times to come.

i see some of your comments and they are nice and as you say is like no one comment since we are a lot of users, i dont comment until now by the way, for the upload you need a privileged account, and for the tag edit mmmm i dont know i havent tried so i should check the rules again maybe also needs a privileged account

Ah damn, that's a bummer. Doesn't look like there are many active privileged users either. Guess commenting and tagging's all i've got for now. Doesn't seem like you can really do anything to get vouched for either, by the looks of it Hazuki already hates all my comments on artistic content.

I think what people are going for when they suggest commenting a lot in order to get known is mostly along the lines of 1) answering people's questions, 2) linking out to relevant external material, and 3) tactfully questioning tagging decisions/suggesting new tags, etc.

That's the kind of stuff that can get you noticed (in a good way). Though again, I don't think there's a way, at the present time, for us to tell exactly who is an invited user and who isn't yet, unless the person in question explicitly says so. And when they say so, it's often while begging for an invite, so... =P

Not that there's anything wrong with the occasional "Oh my god that's hot" comment or even what you're doing, but it's all about doing it in moderation, I guess. I don't want this invite thing to turn into some sort of creepy ass-kissing contest where non-invited accounts compete for invites or anything like that. That's just way too SERIOUS BUSINESS for me. But anyway, a good comment is an informative comment, mostly along the lines of 1-3 outlined above.

That's how I see it anyway, others will vary. I don't worry about it too though much as I actually check the comments page rather infrequently.
