No, what your alias is saying is "all _ii tags should be changed to _2", but your "Reason:" is saying the opposite, that it should use the roman numeral (which I confirmed on Wiki, so, done).

Aliases go "Tag 1 --[becomes]--> Tag 2" so you meant "ar_tonelico_2 -> ar_tonelico_ii"

By the people of danbooru. Before I mentioned the tag ar_tonelico_ii it wasn't in use on any image posts. ar_tonelico_2 was the only tag in use for this game.

You seem to be incredibly missing the point here.

If x is aliased to y, it means that any instance of x will be changed to y when displayed as a tag, and any search for x will come up as y.

When you said to alias ar_tonelico_ii to ar_tonelico_2, that comes across as "replace ar_tonelico_ii with ar_tonelico_2," which isn't what you seemed to intend.

AFAICT, that's precisely what he intended. He just insists on putting the wrong alias in place based on dunno what, probably the fact the incorrect tag was more popular initially.
