Even though in my copy of Disgaea they translated "Makai" as "Netherworld"? How unsightly.
That's because 魔界 means netherworld. I have no idea about the various copyrights in there, but if phantom_kingdom was released after Disgaea, there was no way to know they'd call it "phantom kingdom".

::blinks:: I didn't break it! I do wonder what caused that though. Odd.

I know that. My point was that in one Nippon Ichi game the word "makai" is used in the Japanese version and translated to English, but in another an English term with a very different meaning is then "translated" to "makai".
But of course I don't know if the same parties were involved in the translation of both these games, so I guess my point is kind of moot...
I also noticed another tag that I guess would need to be changed to be consistent:
asagi_(makai_kingdom)
However, she appears to be associated with several different Nippon Ichi games and not just Phantom Kingdom. Would asagi_(nippon_ichi) be more appropriate for her?

I would definitely say yes. Originally, Asagi appeared in Phantom Kingdom as a preview for the next game N1 planned to produce. However, that game never ended up being made, and Asagi was relegated to being a recurring cameo character with no game of origin.
Makes me wonder why I don't see fanart of a homeless Asagi, now that I think about it.
At any rate, since she doesn't have an "origin", the Nippon Ichi Software company is the next best thing, so asagi_(nippon_ichi) should be the tag.
