Aliasing bouncing_breasts to bounce.
Reason: Both tags refer to the act of female breasts bouncing, either through visual cues or an animated gif. bounce seems to be the more established tag, hence the alias direction.

I suggested this a while back, but no one really said anything.
However, in that topic, I also suggested that maybe we should do an implication instead, and clean up the bounce tag for other uses.
It's a "more people need to discuss it". I don't want to go and and do something irreversible like an alias before I get more opinions. I mean, bouncing_breasts seems like the better tag to me, or at least *something* with breasts in the tag, but it's not really used and bounce is pretty established. So I'm uncertain.

Are there any bounce-tagged pictures that aren't about bouncing breasts?
I found three:

jumping would work for the first two (someone who wants to search for characters doing so repeatedly can search "jumping gif") and the last one... probably doesn't need a tag other than basketball, but could be dribble if somebody insists.
I'd suggest making bouncing breasts the main tag just to make it perfectly unambiguous, though.

I didn't know aliases were permanent, my bad. I did a cursory run-through of both tags, and like LaC said, there were very few posts that the bounce tag would be used outside of breasts (say, a ball). I thought a conclusion would be reached somewhat quickly.

It's not so much that they're permanent, just irreversible. it's just that when you alias A to B, two things happen: 1) everything tagged A has tag A removed and tag B added; 2) from then on, whenever tags for any post are changed, if A is typed in, it becomes B. (At least, I think that's how it works.) This reduces complexity in the long run, but as you can see, it's not reversible. You could undo 2) and make it so that A didn't turn into B whenever you edited tags, but you couldn't undo 1) because unused tags (such as A, during the period when the alias was active) are deleted after a period of time, along with all their tag history.
Yeah as noted, you can delete the alias but then you still need to go through every image and retag it manually. That's hard at best, nearly impossible at worst, depending on the tag.
I changed the two jumping ones Alasgir found to jumping and removed bounce from the third.
I'd still like a more specific tag since we're talking very specifically about bouncing breasts, but bounce is probably well established enough that we can leave it as is. So right now I'm thinking alias, although should it be bouncing_breasts > bounce or the reverse?
Don't forget jiggle (76 posts).

I think that may no longer be true - a few weeks ago I successfully petitioned to have it changed:

All right, thanks for the explanation.
If ambiguity is the problem, then I suggest reversing the alias direction, rather than the one I first proposed, to bouncing_breasts instead. Again, I just don't see bounce used for other purposes, unless 2ch creates a meme about balls/yukkuris/moeblobs bouncing or something and every pixiv artist runs with it. 7HS had ideas for tags about bouncing balls though.
