Should *color*_blazer be aliased to *color*_jacket?

Posted under Tags

So, with the recent* coat-jacket discussion, it got me thinking about the lighter version of the jacket, which is also sometimes difficult to distinguish. Yes, blazers.
Specifically about the Kakegurui and Youjitsu school uniforms. These feature a red blazer which most of the time gets tagged red jacket and, i was wondering if it's even worth having that light_jacket or general_jacket color distinction.

What do y'all think? Should we remove the confusion and alias each *color*_blazer to the jacket version?
Or just re-tag everything appropriately?

Ok then, here's the alias list so far, (way fewer than i expected to be honest):

open_blazer -> open_jacket
sleeveless_blazer -> sleeveless_jacket

brown_blazer -> brown_jacket
black_blazer -> black_jacket
blue_blazer -> blue_jacket
grey_blazer -> grey_jacket
purple_blazer -> purple_jacket
red_blazer -> red_jacket
white_blazer -> white_jacket
yellow_blazer -> yellow_jacket

Just in case, going to also make requests for some other popular colors:

aqua_blazer -> aqua_jacket
green_blazer -> green_jacket
lavender_blazer -> lavender_jacket
orange_blazer -> orange_jacket
pink_blazer -> pink_jacket
silver_blazer ->silver_jacket

And, going with Provence's suggestion, each of these would also get a blazer implication, unless it gets too convoluted.
missing anything?

I don't think we need aliases for tags that are currently at zero posts. Lavender, silver and aqua specifically are colors that are really only used on very specific things (mostly hair and eyes) because the discussion to remove these color tags kind of got forgotten, so I'd be against aliasing those specific three.

It also feels weird to slump down the servers with aliases for other similarly unused tags (green, pink), or even for those with only two results, like yellow blazer. These can just be moved manually, or if it becomes a problem in the future they can be requested separately when they become big enough.

Fair enough~

Taking it down to:
open_blazer
sleeveless_blazer
brown_blazer
black_blazer
blue_blazer
red_blazer

getting started on the requests, and i took care of the rest manually.

create alias brown_blazer -> brown_jacket
create alias black_blazer -> black_jacket
create alias blue_blazer -> blue_jacket
create alias red_blazer -> red_jacket

As a result of topic 14959
The *blazer tags can easily be replaced with *jacket versions.
This is to also allow for clearer and more consistent tagging, rather than subdividing tags.
