Danbooru

Is this problem with pools occurring for anyone else?

Posted under Bugs & Features

So, I clicked on the handsome ladies pool under an image, made my way to the first page of recent images that had the pool tagged, and saw at the bottom that I couldn't go to any other page. Basically, I was stuck on the first page of the pool, the arrows were not clickable, and there weren't even any of the usual numbered page links that normally accompany the arrows. I searched around on the pools tab to find out if I would continue to have this problem with other pools, and I've gotten mixed results.

Pools like pool:1537 do not allow me to search pages beyond the most recent image (and also have a pool count of "0"), but some such as pool:1048 are "active," permit me to search older images with the tag, and its pool count is "423". I must note that I am able to see other pages when I'm at the "collection" page of a pool, however they aren't organized from most recent to least recent.

My final questions then, are: Is this something that has to do with Danbooru that I wasn't aware of? Is it a problem only occurring for me? And if it is a problem only affecting me (and perhaps has been an isolated problem for some others), what can I do to resolve it?

I can't replicate this. Could you post screenshots, pointing out what you're talking about? Also, what browser are you using? Finally, make sure that the URL bar is displaying.

I can replicate it on Firefox 57, with a pool:1537 search (https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts?utf8=%E2%9C%93&tags=pool%3A1537&ms=1 ). Screenshot

(I don't have the deleted posts filter turned on, if that's relevant)

EDIT: In case the screenshot is confusing: pool #1537 should have 33 pages at 20 posts per page, but when searched like pool:1537, there's one page and an empty paginator.

EDIT 2: The post count for this pool is reported as "0".

THIS. Fossilnix summarized the issue perfectly. The evidence provided by this user pretty much shows the problem I'm having with some pools. It's not the worst thing that could happen on this website, but considering now that another person came across it, it might not be as local of a thing as I initially thought.

Edit: I've searched pool:6118 (handsome ladies) as I had initially done, and the URL says:

http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts?utf8=%E2%9C%93&tags=pool%3A6118&ms=1

Also, the browser I am using is chrome.

I made a note of this problem on issue #3387 as I believe it's related to it. Also, FWIW the problem is not a browser-specific issue but a site issue instead. I checked and it only seems to affect Danbooru or one of it's subdomains Sonohara/Hijiribe for Anonymous/Member-level users, most likely because something under the hood is causing their two-tag limit to be broken which in turn breaks the paginator. So as a short term workaround, you can go to Safebooru or add safe_mode=true to your URL like so.
