Touhou - Doremy's Dream of Promotion

Just wondering if it would be appropriate to start a pool for images spawned from Doremy Sweet's addition to Antinomy of Common Flowers? There are quite a few now to the point all but two of 27 images in the game tag are Doremy tributes.

If anyone disagrees, please just say so. I'd like to be formally rejected if it isn't appropriate. :D

If most of the images in the game tag are Doremy tributes, wouldn't that make a pool for Doremy tributes redundant? On the other hand, we do have pools for Reisen and Sakuya.

Indeed we do. That's primarily why I wonder if it might be good to have one for Doremy as well.

Having multiple different pools for different Touhou characters becoming playable feels rather pointless and redundant to me. It might end up with the 100+ characters each having their own pools celebrating playability.

I would personally prefer a single pool for tributes when characters become playable in a new game. It would remove the need to make a pool every time a character becomes playable and it would make it easier for other users to know that a character has become playable. It could also merge the Reisen and Sakuya pool, if needed.

That could work. Are there some means to create sub-sections inside the same pool, though?

As far as I'm aware, there's no way to make sub-sections in folders. But one can instead click 'Posts' or type and search 'pool:id' to search for a specific character in a pool.

Like for instance 'pool:3032 lily_white' to find smiling fairies.

I don't think it's a big deal to have a separate pool for her, and combining it with the other two pools is a pretty bad idea, because a search cannot solve the obvious problem that is something like post #1992067 or post #1993524 showing up if someone were to search only for Reisen's celebratory pictures in an eventual grouped pool.

It would not be the end of the world, but why make the situation worse when we can just use a separate pool for each character? It's not like ZUN's releasing a new Touhou game with a never-been-playable-before character every month.

Also, even though right now a search for doremy_sweet antinomy_of_common_flowers and an eventual celebration pool may overlap, in the future it won't be the case as the novelty of the fact wears off and fanart keeps getting made, so I'd say go for it.

We already have an announcement celebration tag. I think that should be used instead. I think it's better to use general purpose tags than to make a bunch of character-specific pools for essentially the same concept. Yes, announcement_celebration izayoi_sakuya may give you some false positives, but I don't think a couple false positives are that big of a deal.

I'm not even sure how many playable character tribute pools we have. We have hundreds of Touhou pools and they all have these cutesy non-descriptive names that make it difficult to find what you're looking for.

EDIT: There are things like post #1417666 that don't fit into any existing pool. This is why it's useful to have a general purpose tag.

I'm unsure of what the best option according to the majority is. ˆ_ˆ; What should I do?

Um, whoever is responsible for it, could they either fix a REJECTED or APPROVED in front of the thread title so this can be settled?
