[REJECTED] Tag alias: dangerous_beast_(cosplay) -> dangerous_beast

create alias dangerous_beast_(cosplay) -> dangerous_beast

Link to alias

I was just wondering about the necessity of having a Dangerous Beast (Cosplay) and a Dangerous Beast tag. Since it appears Dangerous Beast refers specifically to the outfit, regardless of who's wearing it, isn't the idea of the Dangerous Beast (Cosplay) tag, well, redundant in this case? For that matter, can you even cosplay an outfit? You can cosplay a character, though, in which case, everyone other than Shielder wearing the outfit would technically be cosplaying her since it was hers to begin with, right?

EDIT: The tag alias dangerous_beast_(cosplay) -> dangerous_beast has been rejected by @Type-kun.

I suppose it just changes the search for finding Shielder in the dangerous beast outfit from dangerous_beast -dangerous_beast_(cosplay) to dangerous_beast -shielder_(fate/grand_order)_(cosplay), which then requires some tag gardening to become effective. The latter loses any cases of Shielder in the dangerous beast outfit alongside someone else cosplaying a different version of Shielder but this is probably insignificant.

Perhaps a mass update from dangerous beast (cosplay) to shielder (fate/grand order) (cosplay) might be a better way of doing things, though? All images with dangerous beast (cosplay) should already have the dangerous beast tag, plus it negates the tag gardening, and does this actually need a permanent alias?

The reason dangerous_beast_(cosplay) exists is because Dangerous Beast was initially a character tag, until I questioned it in topic #13928.

I think we should simply nuke the tag. Just to be sure, nuking means automatically removing all instances of this tag, doesn't it?

We also don't need a Shielder cosplay tag for other characters wearing the Dangerous Beast outfit because we don't use cosplay tags when a character wears a named outfit, like halloween princess (fate/grand order) and Idolmaster costumes for example.

I vote in favor of nuking the tag. It's a costume tag that can easily be searched with use of character tags, with a few false positives which is to be expected of any tag in a post with multiple characters.

Good question. It clearly shouldn't be. It's just a costume, not a character.

I wonder how long it will take until Florence's costume will become a char tag :/.
I'll revert that for Dangerous beast soon.
