Someone actually took my appeal seriously.

You don't need to repost this there, but just for future reference, we have a thread for complaining about flags - topic #13177

I thought that thread was for reporting abuse of the flag system by individuals flagging posts for reasons that are nonsensical or obviously wrong. That doesn't seem to be the case with this particular batch of flags, since they do in fact point out some serious quality concerns. To the best of my knowledge, there's no rule against flagging mediocre art, even when it's done out of spite.

It seems like the moral here is to be careful what you wish for, I guess. If you suggest that someone do something, you haven't a reason to complain when they actually do it.

Typically when a single page goes deleted in a pool for quality reasons (when the rest of the pages can't redeem it) it also means the rest of the pool has to go since the overall quality is bad. I'm sure NWS knows more about it, but any error present in a single page for a multi-page will usually also be present in most if not all the rest of the pages in it.

And yes, that thread is simply for flag vandalism, this is a different concern (since all the other flags are valid). Well, at the very least you learned something about how appeals get others' attention. There's always the chance that once an artist's work is flagged, the rest of them, if they're of the same/worse quality, usually follow in turn.
