Operation Crossroads - Tag or Pool?

Operation Crossroads (the 1946 nuclear test) was formerly used as a tag, however user #378397 removed it from all posts and created a Kantai Collection specific pool instead, pool #11698. I can't find any discussion on the issue, so I thought I'd bring it up. Is Operation Crossroads more suited as tag or as a pool?

My argument for a tag:
- Operation Crossroads isn't a subjective concept or a series, what pools are usually for.
- While currently Operation Crossroads is mainly referenced in Kantai Collection posts, it's not exclusive to that copyright, a few Zhan Jian Shao Nyu posts reference it as well.
- With a pool we lose the ability for Operation Crossroads to show up in translated tags from pixiv and other sites.
- Seems the precedent is for events to be tags, e.g. Battle of Midway, Battle of Jutland, Operation Ten-Gou, World War II, Russo-Japanese War.

Thoughts?

If it's Operation Crossroads in Kantai it should be a pool ( including a tag ); if it's Operation Crossroads outside Kantai it should be a tag.

It seems a rather dreary pool, but some pools are. Also the radioactive sunk ships must have done wonders for the fishing.

It's not exclusive to Kantai Collection, so I don't see why it should go from a tag to a Kancolle pool.

Definitely tag...

Beyond the above, tags share a distinct advantage over pools... wikis with the "other names" field, which allow for automatic translation of Japanese tags.

I agree with those who want it as a tag, for all of the same reasons.

But how would people think to add those two seemingly unrelated tags ?

It's very rare that I ever bother to search even a single tag.

I don't know how people would not think of it, when it's likely Kantai Collection posts will be the vast majority of the tag anyway.

Seems fairly definitive then. I restored the operation crossroads tag and populated it a bit more, and requested deletion for pool #11698.
