If you're uploading a full set of Manga pages, or a CG set. It gets very repetitive to upload each page manually, set all the proper tags, set parent post and pool data. Is there any way of just setting a load of images to upload with the same tags and parent post?

Not that I know of, at least not officially. Mass uploading is generally discouraged because it promotes lazy tagging. Usually, a set of images won't all be tagged *exactly* the same way. Even if they are, uploading full doujin/manga chapters and CG sets is also usually frowned upon.
Can someone explain to me what in the world would make someone upload a whole damn doujin into danbooru? It makes no sense. Tagging is a mess and browsing is incredibly uncomfortable, and that is when and only when the uploader remembers to make parent-child relations, let alone when the whole thing is dumped as is. I could see some random connected 4-koma or such, but what exactly makes anyone believe uploading a whole bloody manga is a good idea?

They're a better choice, no doubt, than manga, doujins or cg sets. moe.imouto.org is probably where I'd go first for artbook stuff, but that certainly doesn't mean it can't be posted here.
Ideally each uploaded page would be able to stand on its own as a worthwhile contribution, though.
